How do I wash and care for my brushes?

Japanese Fude makeup brushes are true treasures, and if looked after correctly, can last for many years. For instructions on washing and storage, we recommend following the instructions on our blog, which was developed in consultation with brush artisans.

Do you offer engraving?

Currently, we do not offer an engraving service.

When do you have sales?

We generally don't do storewide sales. Instead, we try to keep our products competitively prices year-round, and have a Loyalty Program where customers can earn points for discounts. Can I use my friend’s discount code? 

Sure, if your friend is happy to pass on their discount code, that's fine with us. Sharing is caring! We'll just need written confirmation from your friend (a simple 'I gave my discount code to [name] and approve them to use it for their purchase') is plenty.

How long will my order take to ship?

After your order is confirmed, your order will ship within 5 business days. Occasionally, there are hold-ups in the warehouses due to demand, and in this case, we will notify you. Once shipped, the average shipping times from Japan can be found below (current April 2021): To the USA (DHL) between 2-10 day, average 4.


Should I choose DHL, FedEx, or EMS?

This varies depending on your country (eg. one with high taxes and duties), address and your personal preferences (eg. cost vs speed). 

  • DHL and FedEx do not ship to bases or PO Boxes
  • DHL is typically the fastest shipping option
  • DHL and FedEx may result in higher taxes and duties fees (you can find more on Taxes and Duties below)

Please note:

  • Customers in Russia will need a business address to ship to, as required of DHL.
  • If a customer is in a remote location that requires extra shipping fees to be paid by Fude Beauty to DHL/FedEx, then these fees will need to be covered by the customer.


Will I be charged customs and duties/ VAT fees?

You may be subject to import taxes and duties on delivery, depending on your country. The threshold of duties and taxes also varies between countries. While these fees are not reimbursed by Fude Beauty, we can provide a discount for future purchases.

Can I combine shipping with friends?

Sure! If you have a friend living nearby and you want to split the shipping cost from Japan, that's a great idea. Just reach out to us at to arrange this. Please note that higher-priced orders may be subject to taxes and duties, so be sure to check the rates for your country. Fude Beauty does not cover taxes and duties, but if you are charged these, please send us the receipt as proof and we will offer you a discount on your next purchase.

I think my order has been lost/stolen

If your order is lost during shipping, or if unauthorized person signs for your package, Fude Beauty cannot be held responsible for this. Please file a theft report to the local office of DHL/FedEx, depending on the carrier selected during checkout. Once you have the report, please email so we can also file a complaint. We can offer a small compensation up to a maximum of $100 + shipping fee paid. 

I received the wrong order

We're so sorry to hear that your order is not what you purchased! >.< We are a small team of humans, and sometimes (rarely, but sometimes) these errors occur. Please provide a photo of any incorrect item and send it to
