Contains alcohol

I suggest you skip this one. First of all, for such a hefty price tag, you don't even what you pay for, literally. It says it is 100 ml but the bottle comes 1/4 empty. Frankly, I feel cheated. It does the job (sort of) but I only used it for brand new brushes so I can't speak for dirty brushes. The biggest problem I have is I could smell alcohol from this cleanser. Why on earth would Chikuhodo make a brush cleanser that contains alcohol?! I will not be purchasing this item again. FudeBeauty was very responsive to my email, however.

Gentle cleanser for light cleansing

This is best for gentle cleansing of light “stains” such as powder or base shades. Best to apply directly to brushes, sometimes have tried to soak brushes for a bit but that made me nervous. It does not completely remove highly pigmented shades, such as blue eyeshadows, in my opinion. But it is safe and protective of the brushes so I use it for my softest brushes that are also the biggest investment.
