I’m a bit of a Fude brush junkie and have a magnificent brush collection so have some experience with various brands, styles, hair types, lengths and density. That being said this brush series from Koyudo is amazing! I’m even going to say a must have for a newbie to Fude or a seasoned brush collection. Not only are the brushes beautiful they are wonderfully efficient. Photos do them absolutely zero justice.
I’ve been a Koyudo fan for a long time. They make a range of quality brushes that are not only affordable but they are well constructed with quality hair. The Premium Series short handles and somewhat unattractive photos are what kept me from trying this set already.
For anyone familiar with the Fu-Pa line the handles on these brushes are the same. They are easy to hold, sturdy and well made. They fit in the hand perfectly and are very well made. The handle was painted with an almost pearly white while a beautiful shade of pink was used for the design. It’s beautiful displayed on my vanity.
All the brushes in the series are made with a nice Blue Squirrel and Sokoho Goat hair which is as soft as squirrel and has the added density of goat. I honestly can’t even tell it has goat hair in it. It’s that soft. It’s also very efficient. These brushes basically do all the work for you in half the time. I can do my entire face (minus foundation) with the powder, blush and 2 eye brushes with minimal effort.
Easy to clean and bounce back to shape after washing. I’ve had zero issues with hair loss aside from a few floating hairs when they arrived but that’s totally normal. These brushes has a lot of hair! I mean a lot. That’s why they are priced so high. You definitely get what you pay for with all of these.
If I could only recommend one brush it would be the blush brush. Once washed it fluffs up quite a bit and can easily be used for powder, bronzer or blush. It’s a fabulous little multi-tasker. I haven’t been this excited about a brush in a long time. I hope they add to the line.
