Maybe will get better with time. A first time use is good for details, corner of the eye. Also good with Pat McGrath special eyeshadow. From all my brushes, and I don't have too many, this one is the best to use with Pat . Also with Denona the creamy mate dark colours .

Great Addition to my Collection

This was part of my first purchase of Japanese brushes and I couldn't be more pleased. So soft and precise.

Excellent brush for precise placement. I got this one and the other smaller brush in the line and find that this one is good for the lid whereas the other one is best for the lower lash line and inner corner. The fibers are so soft get grab onto pigment wonderfully. I highly recommend this line!

Just okay

This brush is my only Chikuhodo regret. Compared to my other FO and Z series brushes, it just doesn't perform as well. From the start I was forcing myself to use it when I would've rather wiped off the Z-10 between colors. I thought the difference must be all in my head until I did a side-by-side comparison. Using the same number of swipes in the same dark eyeshadow, the swatch from the FO-6 was patchy and less pigmented than the swatch from the Z-10. It also didn't work well for patting on glittery topper shades. The brush itself is lovely, though. The bristles have a firm, almost stiff spring but are very soft, and the handle is comfortable. I found that babying it a little less than normal - encouraging it to fluff out when it dries and pressing harder when I use it - softened it up enough for it to perform better. It's getting some use now but if I had the choice again, I would buy a second Z-10 instead.
