Finally a brush that's soft enough

I began collecting natural hair brushes several years ago when someone advised me that their soft bristles would apply powders on my dry skin without exfoliating and aggravating flaky spots. I know a lot of people with dry skin are better off not setting their makeup, but I do it because I need long wear. I began with goat and moved on to blue squirrel. There was a huge improvement from synthetic brushes but I was disappointed to find that even blue squirrel would create a textured, extra powdery look when I set the foundation around my mouth. I have experimented with all kinds of powders, application methods, and skin prep, to no avail. I decided to splurge on the KZ-1 as a last ditch attempt (plus it just looked so beautiful, I couldn't resist) and I'm so glad I did. I use it to apply my Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. It picks it up no problem and the finish is perfect. It's expensive, but cheaper than the coveted P-8. Maybe try one of the smaller KZ brushes to get an idea of the bristle properties before you commit to this one!

Mother of all powder bruses!

I don't have to repeat what others have to say about the softness of this brush. It seems softer than gray or blue squirrel if that's even possible. Despite the softness, it picks up and deposits loose or pressed powder perfectly. I've been using TF bronzer brush for the longest I can remember and tried this KZ-1 to apply darker bronzer on a whim. Wow, if you lean fair and are a little reluctant to use bronzer for a deeper tanned look, fear no more. I can't even describe how softly and beautifully this brush creates a natural tanned look! I want to get a second one as a back up. It's worth the investment.
